🌊 Our Progression Pathway
🌊 Which Class?
I get asked all the time, “Which class should my child be in? When do they move up?”
That’s why I created a clear pathway. Every class builds on the last so kids gain confidence, stay safe, and keep moving forward.
Here’s how it works:
Step 1: Parent & Infant (6 months – 3 years)
We start with comfort. Parents are in the pool. Lots of songs and toys, play, and bonding. This is about joy and safe water habits, not “perfect skills.”
Step 2: Parent & Tot (2 – 4 years)
For little ones who are still nervous but ready to try. We work on assisted floats, kicks, and adding arms, underwaters, and more confidence! Parents are still in the water, but kids start to take those brave steps.
Step 3: Intermediate (3 – 5 years) NEW Wednesday 3:30 PM or Saturday at 10:30 AM
This is the step so many families have been waiting for. Your child is too confident for Parent & Tot, but not quite ready for the 4–6 group. Here we build independence: floats without help, short swims, and an intro to strokes. Keiki should be able to hold wall on their own (unassisted) and swim a few feet on their own back to safety!
Step 4: Beginner & Intermediate (4 – 6 years)
Our busiest groups. Kids learn freestyle, breathing, stamina, and safety. This is where they really start to “swim across the pool.”
Step 5: Pre-Swim Team Prep (6 – 12 years) NEW Thursdays at 3:30pm (Wed and Sat Classes are full)
When your swimmer is ready for more, this is where we refine technique, build endurance, and get them confident with lap swimming. It’s the last step before joining a team.
Why this matters
Kids grow fastest when they’re in the right level. Too easy = they get bored. Too hard = they shut down. The pathway keeps it clear and simple.
💦 I’m opening a brand new Intermediate 3–5 yrs class on Wednesday at 3:30 PM because this is the age group most parents need more options for. If that’s your child, this is your spot.
